Stress Relievers: Watching the sunset by a calm lake or upon a mountain top, running on backcountry trails, playing soccer, and traveling into wilderness areas with my husband, business partner, and best friend, Michael.
Community Involvement: Assist in teaching white-water canoeing classes for local paddling club in the spring and volunteer at local animal shelter during the winter.
Favorite spots: Eagle River Valley, Alaska; McNeil River State Game Sanctuary, Alaska; Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, New Mexico; Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah.
Can’t Do Without: The sights and sounds of nature, Michael’s cooking, and black licorice.
Worst Fears: Hard-drive or computer failure(s) and Yukon Territory mosquitoes.
Memorable Wilderness Trips: 22-day canoe trip down the Noatak River, Alaska; 29 day raft trip on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, from Lees Ferry to South Cove where I spent my 40th birthday running Lava Falls rapid, and a 12-day canoe trip on the Wind River, Yukon Territory, Canada
