Cancellation policies

When a participant cancels a reserved spot in a workshop, it takes time and effort to fill the vacancy. Please be sure to check your personal schedule well ahead of the dates of a workshop to make sure there are no conflicts. If you discover that you will not be able to attend a workshop we would very much appreciate knowing this as soon as possible.

Cancellation of a Registration

If for any reason you need to withdraw, please notify us 60 days or more before the start date of your workshop.

No refund of any fees will be made for cancellations after the workshop begins. We are not responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies.

In the event that a workshop must be cancelled due to inadequate enrollment, all deposits and tuition received by us will be refunded in full.

Michael DeYoung Photography is not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets or lodging arrangements you made in the event of a workshop cancellation. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received notification that the workshop has met its minimal participant requirement.

Cancellations More Than 60 Days from Start Date

If your cancellation is received more than 60 days prior to the beginning of a workshop, we will refund your deposit less a $100 cancellation fee. The only exception to this is that if the workshop is full and we fill your reservation in the workshop. In that case, all money will be returned to you except for a $50 administrative fee.

Cancellations 31 – 60 Days from Start Date

If your cancellation is received between 31 and 60 days prior to the beginning of a workshop, we will refund your deposit and any tuition paid less a $150 cancellation fee. The only exception to this is that if the workshop is full and we fill your reservation in the workshop. In that case, all money will be returned to you except for a $75 administrative fee.

Cancellations 15 – 30 Days from Start Date

If your cancellation is received 30 days or less prior to the beginning of a workshop, we will refund your tuition paid but the entire $300 deposit is retained. Because we are extremely busy preparing for the workshop inside 30 days, we may not have time to actively try to fill your position.

Cancellations Less Than 15 Days from Start Date

If your cancellation is received 15 days or less prior to the beginning of a workshop, we will retain the entire balance paid.
