We don't have everything under the sun and are not trying to compete with the large corporate agencies. We offer specialized, rights-protected images, with an emphasis on imagery of muscle powered adventure and fitness, lifestyle, Alaska tourism, landscapes and wildlife. At MDP here's what to expect:
You can search our searchable site and purchase direct from there, or, we will research our files for you (research fee may apply) and post a selection via light box, web gallery or email attachments (if only a few images.) All submissions and deliveries whether digital or film are subject to our Terms and Conditions on our Delivery Memo.
Upon finding an image, we can quote a fee for that use. We will send an Invoice and Grant of Rights. The invoice serves as your license and will state the fee and the usage rights granted for that fee. Use fees must be paid in full before actual use is authorized.
To contact us directly for any stock request or assistance, you can:
Film Delivery: Submissions of film are only sent via trackable and bonded courier. Client is responsible for shipping costs both ways when film is requested from us.
Scans: 35MM original transparencies are scanned at 4000 dpi at the office. Largest size available with out interpolation is approximately 11 X 17 at 300 dpi. Professional drum scans are also available upon request. Scans are cropped, cleaned, corrected and profiled in Adobe RGB 1998 with “pleasing color” match.
Digital Capture: Our 35mm cameras produce 8 or 13 megapixel RAW images that are more than suitable for most commercial stock uses. In many ways they are superior to an equivalent sized scan from a 35mm transparency. Digital images also provided in Adobe RGB 1998 color space.
Digital Delivery: Scans or digital capture are usually delivered at requested size(s), minimally sharpened, in RGB mode in either TIFF or JPEG format on a CD-R, or by FTP. Digital production charges apply for this service. See charges in Pricing section.
Stock pricing is most accurately termed a “License Fee” where you are paying for a specific use for a specific fee, outlined in our Invoice and Grant of Rights. Our license fees are based on exact use, size and placement, and distribution. We use industry standard pricing programs to calculate license fees. In order to give a fair and accurate quote for a usage license, we first need the following information:
Research Fee: $75-$100 for large submissions that take substantial office time. Fee is usually waived if an image is licensed for greater than our minimum fee of $150.
CD burning: $25
FTP uploading: $25 for 1-2 images, $50 for 3-5 images
Photoshop post production retouching, alterations, compositing charges: $85/hr
